As a new traveling family ourselves, we’ve noticed a shift in what we look for when making new memories as a whole. It’s important our stay comfortably accommodates each family member.
To help ease any concerns you may have when choosing the perfect experience for you & yours, we created a roundup of our family friendly JTH stays.
For families looking to make the most out of precious moments spent traveling together, our Ocotillo Suite is cozy and comfortably accommodates four adults and a child.
Ocotillo is our designated family suite at the inn where you’ll find a folding crib and a high chair ready for littles. Please note, this is a split-level suite and requires the use of stairs (we do provide a baby gate as well).
The downstairs entrance of the suite is accessed through the main living room of the inn and features a full bathroom with a step-in shower and a queen bed with a frame tv. The upstairs entrance is located outside accessed through the outdoor patio where morning coffee or evening wine is a dream come true. The upper level includes a king bed, a fireplace, another frame tv and a kitchenette with two refrigerator drawers.
If you’re traveling with extended family and considering multiple rooms, Ocotillo pairs well with our Cholla Room as they’re both on the same side of the inn and are connect by the common spaces.
For the travelers looking for a secluded stay to reconnect with themselves, with nature, and with one another, the Prickly Pear Casita offers a quiet pause in time, where solitude and scenery come together in perfect harmony.
A short and scenic walk from the inn, Prickly Pear features a private carport, 2 king bedrooms, a crib and if you’d like an additional floor bed setup ($50) to comfortably accommodate two children. Complete with a full bathroom featuring a walk-in shower and a fully equipped chef’s kitchen.
The Prickly Pear Casita has full access to the inn’s amenities including the canyon style pool, hot springs style hot tub, walking trails including the labyrinth hike and the Bath House!
The Casita is for the family looking for a fun mix of peaceful moments and a little bit of adventure. You’ll be close enough to explore the town and far enough to settle into the quiet escape of the Casita. Complete with a king bedroom, a queen bedroom, a pack & play and a full bathroom with a walk-in shower.
If you’re traveling with more family, The Casita is next door to The Hacienda and pairs well to make memories with extended family! Outdoor meals under the twinkle lights, swinging in the hammock and climbing the boulders next to the Casita are a few favorite family moments.
Perfect for the family who wants the best of both worlds: nature and city life! The House is walking distance from town which makes filling your itinerary so easy. Once you’re done exploring the town you can come home to the quiet exhale of the Mojave Desert.
The House features two king beds and a pack and play with a fully stocked kitchen and two full bathrooms (one with a bathtub and one with a walk-in shower). Enjoy mornings on the front porch together and afternoons splashing in the cowboy pool or the backyard hot tub.
For the family seeking a reset in nature, the Hacienda offers quiet gathered moments whether you’re together indoors or outdoors. Complete with a king sized bedroom, a queen sized bedroom, a folding crib and a full bathroom with a bathtub.
A full chef’s kitchen for homemade meals to be enjoyed in the indoors dining room or outdoors dining patio under dreamy patio lights. You’ll have a pool overlooking the high desert horizon, a courtyard hot tub, an outdoor lounge and an outdoor fire pit to gather in good conversation.
