The spring new moon arrives with a fresh cycle of songs and a featured artist we’ve been quietly following for years. Angelo De Augustine opens and closes this playlist—his new album Angel in Plainclothes drops April 24th on Asthmatic Kitty, and “Mirror Mirror” is the kind of song that stops you mid-sentence. After collapsing on stage in 2022 with an undiagnosed illness and spending years relearning to walk, talk, and play music, Angelo has returned with something deeply unhurried and radiant. We felt it was the right energy for a spring new moon—patient, hard-won, quietly luminous.
This edition leans heavily into new music, with releases from Cat Clyde, Ratboys, John Craigie, Anna Tivel, Buck Meek, Boy Golden, and Kevin Morby all from the first few months of 2026. From there the playlist drifts back through recent years—Waxahatchee, Adrianne Lenker, Sierra Ferrell, Leif Vollebekk, Aoife O’Donovan, Vera Sola—before settling into a slow, meditative close. A single vintage moment at track 13 lets the whole thing breathe.
As always, follow us on Spotify to catch each new edition as it arrives. Set an intention, put this on, and let the new cycle begin.

About the New Moon Playlist
On the New Moon, the earth, moon, and sun align making us unaware of the moon’s presence in the sky. Without the visual presence and glow of the moon, other celestial bodies typically hidden now shine brighter. Our chances of seeing the sky clearly are heightened on this day, making it a day of clarity and new beginnings. Creatively it’s the perfect time to set intentions for a new cycle of dreams and goals, and ways of manifesting them.
