As the world stirs and the desert sun climbs high, we’re inviting you to slow down and cool off with our JTH Tucson Summer Pool Pass days. Whether you’re seeking a moment of calm, a break from the go, go, go, or simply a beautiful space to float and breathe, our pool passes are just…
There is a row of old olive trees in the inn’s garden, and this June, we’re setting a long table under them. On the evening of June 7th, join us for a live-fire dinner in the olive grove at JTH Tucson—an intimate, unhurried meal cooked over wood fire by Chef Pablo Valencia of Scratching the…
It was about 7:30 one night in May of 2015. Eight hours earlier we had loaded up our car in San Francisco with tools, clothes, and our cats. We had just bought The Joshua Tree House a week earlier and were making our first trip to stay for a few weeks. We got off I-10…
This year we’re focused on consuming and wasting less, while supporting our community and environmental causes. This year’s gift guide includes so many of our favorite artists and makers (many of which we worked with to create JTH Tucson), and sustainable items we’ve been loving and will continue using in 2020 to reduce waste. Ryan Mountain Trail in Joshua Tree National Park is a moderate to challenging hike with an elevation gain of 1,060 feet. The first half of the trail can be pretty steep, but the whole trail has incredible views of Joshua Tree. The trail itself is a total of 2.9 miles and is clearly marked. It is…

Our September New Moon Spotify playlist falls near the Autumnal Equinox, and features the timelessly cool stylings of Sean Hayes and his song “Magic Slim vs. Dynamite”. Sean is a bay-area based…
The warm desert nights of late summer inspired the August rotation of our New Moon Spotify playlist. We’re pleased to feature a desert songstress, June West, who splits her time between the evergreen peaks of Montana and the sun-bleached sands of Tucson, Arizona. June’s recent single, “Island of Women”, opens with distant phased out electric…
We’re pleased to present the July installment of our New Moon Spotify playlist—it’s filled with our favorite new music and selected carefully to accompany your summer activities. This month we feature Avid Dancer, the moniker of Los Angeles producer/songwriter Jacob Summers. His song, “Smile in a Frown”, plays like the soundtrack from an early-morning epiphany,…
Arch Rock Trail in Joshua Tree National Park is a great short hike and one of our most frequent hikes in the summer season due to its short length and infinite beauty. The trail itself is a pretty quick 1.2 mile out and back hike and is clearly marked, which allows us to get some…
