Design for Living with SixPenny’s Neva Sofa

We did a lot of research to find the perfect sofa for the shared living room at JTH Tucson—it needed to be something large enough not to be dwarfed by the room, comfortable, and practical to clean. We began looking into slipcovered sofas for that reason, and fell completely in love with SixPenny’s Neva sofa.

Design Mantra: Curate a Home that Enhances with Use

One of the design mantras we swear by is designing with natural materials. They have a tendency to enhance with use, and celebrate age as character. We implemented this mantra across JTH Tucson with rustic woods, natural fibers, and earthenware. Finding a sofa for the main shared living room was no different.

We were looking for a piece that would allow a casual atmosphere where our guests could enjoy themselves without fear of ‘ruining’ something. After all, some of the most special moments are accompanied by spilled drinks—to us, it’s just a sign that life was there. When we think of this room in particular we dream of movie nights, popcorn, glasses of wine, music, friends chatting, playing games etc. It’s a casual space, and so rather than creating rules around it we found a sofa that would hold up to some love, and wear in well over time.

Life-Friendly Slip-Covered Sofas by SixPenny

Of course we’re not hoping for a giant wine stain in the middle of our sofa, but if it does happen we’re ready. All we have to do is remove the slip cover and dry clean. SixPenny even calls their slipcovers “life-friendly slipcovers”. We love that! Design wise, we also love the idea that someday we could get a completely different color & material slipcover to switch things up without buying an entirely new sofa.

Thank you to SixPenny for partnering with us on bringing our dream living room for JTH Tucson to life! We’ve never been so in love with a sofa. Here’s the exact one we chose: Neva Modular 3-piece sofa in White Brass Thick Canvas.

    Hi!
I’m interested in finding out what the group rate would be for JTH Tucson at the end of January? Is there a minimum night stay as well?

    Please let me know, thanks!
    Lauren
